Workshop Testimony

I had an amazing time and learned more than I ever though possible.
- Robert Criss, The Expressive Landscape Print Workshop

I definitely learned some new skills on how to enhance my Landscape photos....just what I had hoped for.  Ed was personable and easy to understand.  It was a Saturday morning well spent.
- Elleene Stone, The Expressive Landscape Print

One of the most beautiful places in the world and Ed knows all the spots.  More than I could have ever hoped for.
- Ken Mitchell, The Big Sur Coast Workshop

This was my second time taking one of Edward's workshops and it won't be my last.  Edward is a wonderful teacher and always willing to help...even weeks after the workshop is over, thanks!
- Susan Gamino, Yosemite in the Spring

I've been a photographer for over 30 years and I've never had such an enjoyable experience as a photographer.
- Frank Leon, Yosemite in the Spring

I learned more in one day than I had in the last 5 years, I'm working on images in a whole new way.  On top of it all I met a lot of wonderful people, including Ed.
- Ted Crooker, The Expressive Landscape Print Workshop

I've attended many workshops in the past and this one was the best.  The image critique session alone was worth every penny but add in the lessons, fieldwork and location...WOW!
- Michael Rugg, The Big Sur Coast Workshop

I was blown away by the amount of effort Ed puts into the workshop, from the workbook, to the personal attention...He's (Edward) is an open book and always available.
- Debbie Belyeu, The Expressive Landscape Print Workshop

The best time I've ever had with a camera!
- Sue Ann Long, The Big Sur Coast Workshop

The workshop helped me see Yosemite for more than just the waterfalls and Half Dome so I could create images that show the soul of the park.  This is something I'll take with me for the rest of my life.
- Tom Zuccari, Yosemite in the Spring Workshop

May 3rd - 5th, 20130 2 day in-field workshop $395 Clearing Storm over Yosemite Valley by Edward Mendes

Yosemite at it's best!  Join me for a photography workshop in Yosemite during the best time of year, spring.  The valley is busting with flowering dogwoods and its many waterfalls are overflowing with the winter's runoff.  Just thinking about it gets me anxious to be there.  We'll photograph all parts of the valley, from its waterfalls to its meadows, my favorite lesser known locations and of course the classic views as well.  I live fairly close to Yosemite and I visit it many times a year, I guess you could say I have a home court advantage in this special place.  A photography workshop in Yosemite Valley during the Spring is something special, you're going to love it.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Our days start early as we want to be in position for the best light as the sun lights up the morning skies above the Valley's meadows.  Following our morning field session we'll have breakfast back at one of the park's restaurants or bring your own. The afternoon will be spent discussing photography, answering questions, sharing prints and with classroom session on a number of possible topics including Photoshop.  After lunch and a bit of free time in the late afternoon we'll head out for a sunset shoot followed by dinner and then a good night's rest.   While the days are long they're filled with one-on-one instruction, discussions on how to improve your photography as an art form and print sharing sessions that you can apply immediately in the field.

Lodging: Lodging is not included in the price of the workshop and you are free to select the lodging option and location that best suits your needs, however I will be staying at the Cedar Lodge in El Portal just outside the Eastern entrance to the park on highway 140.  The Cedar lodge will be where we meet each morning before heading out for our sunrise session and also where the mid-day discussions will be held.  It makes everything much more convenient when everyone stays at the same location and because of that It is highly recommended that you stay at the Cedar Lodge.

Lodging and meals are not included with the workshop, however a local lodging guide and recommendations are included in the workshop's workbook that you'll receive after sign-up.
