Beyond the Trail
The fall of 2006 was a great year for color in Yosemite Valley. I found this image while hiking along the Merced River. I played with the composition for quite a long time, knowing I wanted the small cascade to be the foreground subject but tried many different angles before finally finding this one. The image was made with a Mamiya 645M, 45mm lens and a polarizing filter on Fuji Velvia 100 film.
