Yosemite in the Spring May 3rd - 5th, 20130 Yosemite at it's best! Join me for a photography workshop in Yosemite during the best time of year, spring. The valley is busting with flowering dogwoods and its many waterfalls are overflowing with the winter's runoff. Just thinking about it gets me anxious to be there. We'll photograph all parts of the valley, from its waterfalls to its meadows, my favorite lesser known locations and of course the classic views as well. I live fairly close to Yosemite and I visit it many times a year, I guess you could say I have a home court advantage in this special place. A photography workshop in Yosemite Valley during the Spring is something special, you're going to love it. Topics Covered:
What is Included
Limited to: Just 8 participates Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced - Participates should have a good working knowledge of how to operate their camera in manual mode. In addition having a good knowledge of stops, shutter speeds and f/stops will allow you to focus your attention on creativity and creating high quality images. WHAT TO EXPECT: Our days start early as we want to be in position for the best light as the sun lights up the morning skies above the Valley's meadows. Following our morning field session we'll have breakfast back at one of the park's restaurants or bring your own. The afternoon will be spent discussing photography, answering questions, sharing prints and with classroom session on a number of possible topics including Photoshop. After lunch and a bit of free time in the late afternoon we'll head out for a sunset shoot followed by dinner and then a good night's rest. While the days are long they're filled with one-on-one instruction, discussions on how to improve your photography as an art form and print sharing sessions that you can apply immediately in the field. Lodging: Lodging is not included in the price of the workshop and you are free to select the lodging option and location that best suits your needs, however I will be staying at the Cedar Lodge in El Portal just outside the Eastern entrance to the park on highway 140. The Cedar lodge will be where we meet each morning before heading out for our sunrise session and also where the mid-day discussions will be held. It makes everything much more convenient when everyone stays at the same location and because of that It is highly recommended that you stay at the Cedar Lodge. Lodging and meals are not included with the workshop, however a local lodging guide and recommendations are included in the workshop's workbook that you'll receive after sign-up. |
